Villas of The Galleon
After Hurricane Ivan
Here is the latest post taken from the Villas of The Galleon website:
Dated: August 4, 2005
Dear Friends and Valued Guests,
The Villas are looking good! With 90% of our new roofs completed & work already underway on the interior & exterior of the condos, we will be better & classier than ever before. We can't wait to have you, our valued guests back with us, so you can once again enjoy the splendor of the Seven Mile Beach & the new and much improved Villas of the Galleon.
We are anticipating to reopen this coming December 2005 and at that time will begin taking reservations.
Thank you for your continued support & emails. We will see you for the Winter Season 2005/06.
With best regards & thank you,
Lisa, Jeff, Jonathan, Glen and the property owners at Villas.

Here are the latest pics I have been able to obtain. They were taken around January 23, 2005. These photos are all courtesy of Martin Paterson. I want to say many thanks to him for taking the time to stop by the VOG and get these photos for me.
The following photos were all taken during and shortly after Ivan.........

The following are more pictures from various unknown photographers that I have collected from around the web.

I took the following pictures in June, 2004, just a few months prior to Ivan's wrath.
I know the VOG will look like this again soon. All of us VOG lovers know that Lisa and staff will have it back up and running again in no time! I, for one, can't wait to return here.
